Cycling and sailing through Croatia is absolutely the only way to find the heart of this diverse and poetic country. The area boasts having Europe’s most dramatic shorelines. The stark grey wall of the mainland’s coastal mountains is the backdrop to the beautiful islands you will cycle. We look forward to exploring this country with you.
Our bicycle tour in Southern Dalmatia, Croatia — an absolutely stunning part of the world — will take us through charming towns and beautiful islands. We will tour through the towns of Split, Hvar, Stari Grad and Korčula, towns that include two UNESCO World Heritage sites, so named for their impeccable preservation, historic value and stunning beauty. After each ride you’ll be returning to our luxury boat and begin the journey to the next stunning vista, perhaps stopping enroute for a dip in the sparkling clear water.
Day One — Šolta Island, 11-19 km / 7-12 mi (easy)
We suggest you arrive as early as possible in Trogir to give yourself some time to explore this lovely port town on your own. Reminiscent of Venice, you could spend hours exploring but do make sure you find our boat at the pier before you start to wander! After check-in, our boat will take you on the week’s first cruise from Trogir to the island of Šolta. We’ll set out on our first day of cycling, passing walled olive and fig groves and colourful fields of lavender and rosemary on our journey to the evening’s destination.

Day Two — Hvar Island, 28-48 km / 17-30 mi (easy and at times challenging)
This morning we start from Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, the sunniest island in the Adriatic. Once off the boat we cycle to Jelsa and Vrboska at a casual pace with time to explore these stunning harbour towns. After an ice cream break, we cycle back to Stari Grad for lunch on the boat. The afternoon ride will take you from Stari Grad to the town of Hvar. We stay overnight in, Hvar, which has become a mecca for artists and artisans. Be sure to take in the town’s thriving nightlife.

Afternoon ride:

Day Four — Korčula Island, 60 km / 37 mi (moderate and at times challenging)
Korčula is a balm for the senses, and many consider this calming, generous island and its many cypress gardens to be the most beautiful in Dalmatia. After breakfast you will start today’s bicycle ride en route to Blato, which like Rome, is built on seven hills. Passing Blato, you will make your way over to the other side of the island through Prižba, Brna and Smokvica before ascending past Pupnat Bay and then down into the town of Korčula, the birthplace of Marco Polo. Tonight, you’ll enjoy a city tour.
Day Five — Island Brac, 26 km / 16 mi (moderate)
This morning we have a long sail towards the island of Brac which will take approximately 5 hours. After lunch, we will start our bike ride from a small port Sumartin to another small town, Pučišća. We will stay for the night in Pučišća.
Day Six — Brač island, 23 km / 14 mi (easy and at times moderate)
Our bike ride starts in Pučišća and we will cycle the northern part of the island to a small town called Postira where stone used to build the White House originated.
When we finish our lunch on the boat, we will sail from Postira to Omiš. A shuttle will pick us up in Omiš and bring us to the Cetina River for an afternoon rafting. Total time for rafting and the shuttle back and forth to Omiš will be about 4.5 hours. Those who might not be up for rafting, our guides will take you for a short hike in Omiš, or you can just enjoy the town on your own.
Day Seven — Split and Trogir
In the morning, we will start sailing from Omiš to Split where our local guide will take you on a city tour. You will visit the Diocletian Palace, today a UNESCO World Heritage site, originally built for the Roman Emperor. We then will then begin our journey back to Trogir. For those wishing to enjoy a swim, we will anchor for approximately 1 hour before we dock in late afternoon.
Day Eight — Trogir
You will enjoy a final breakfast on the boat before beginning your journey homeward or beyond. As we say our goodbyes, we have no doubt that Dalmatia and your journey with Pedal & Sea Adventures has left an impression on you. We look forward to welcoming you back to explore more of Croatia.

The cycling routes in South Dalmatia are always on paved roads, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride. Traffic is generally very light, especially on the islands, where there are not many cars on the roads.
You’ll cycle through charming villages, along scenic coastlines, and across rolling hills. The terrain can be hilly, with a mix of climbs and descents, but our support vehicle and experienced guides are always nearby if you need a break.
Our routes are carefully chosen to combine beautiful scenery with safe, quiet roads—perfect for a memorable cycling experience.
All of our cabins are above the waterline and have portal windows for natural light.
The main differences are:
Both options offer the same amenities—ensuite bathrooms, storage space, and a cozy place to relax after a day of cycling.
No, the boat does not have laundry facilities. However, you can rinse your clothes in the cabin sinks or showers, and there are designated areas on the boat to hang and dry your clothing.
No, cycling each day is completely optional. If you’d prefer to relax on the boat, enjoy the sun deck, or simply take in the scenery on the boat, you’re welcome to do so.
You can also explore the islands at your own pace—wander through villages, visit local cafés, or enjoy a swim. Our tours are designed to have a degree of flexibility so you can make the most of your vacation in the way that suits you best.
You will need to have some cash in Euros, as Croatia is still largely a cash-based society in many places.
Credit and debit cards are accepted in larger shops and restaurants, but having cash on hand will make your trip much easier.
Yes, there is Wi‑Fi on board, but coverage and speed can vary depending on the boat’s location and the surrounding islands. While it’s generally reliable in port, the connection may be slower or less stable while sailing or on more remote islands.
If you need a consistent connection, we recommend purchasing a local SIM card or an international data plan as a backup.
Tipping is always at the guest’s discretion, but many guests ask for guidance.
We recommend the following amounts per guest:
(For example, with 2 guides: 2 × 60 EUR = 120 EUR per guest)
Envelopes are provided on board for tips.
Please remember to bring cash in Euros, as tips cannot be paid by card. ATMs are available in the ports at the start of the tour, but machines with yellow signs often charge higher fees
Each cabin has its own ensuite bathroom with a shower, towels, soap, and shampoo. All cabins have a hair dryer, but you’ll need a European 2‑prong adapter to use it.
There are drawers and cabinets for storing your luggage, as well as space to hang up washed cycling clothes to dry.
Our yachts include a Premium Plus Meal Plan:
On half‑board days, guests are free to enjoy a meal ashore at their own expense, and our guides are happy to recommend great local restaurants.
